Sensory processing disorder (SPD) presents challenges for individuals regardless of age. In essence, SPD relates to how the brain perceives sensory stimuli from the environment. This results in individuals with SPD may have sensations differently than others. Several common symptoms of SPD include: Over-sensitivity to sounds, lights, textures
